#1 Croissant
-it’s playful, near Spui
-it’s bold and big, very black and displayed on a corner
-it looks like it’s edible, yum makes me wanna eat a croissant
-it could have white line crossing the letters, like every letter is a croissant


#2 Broodbakker
-it’s very old, Berlageweg
-it doesn’t really has a power to make me stop, more to watch it more closely
the colors have a big contrast and some letters are like fluid
-it represents an old thing, as if the store exist since 1926, a store of quality and trust
-nothing really..


#3 Artis
-I like the Dutch traffic signs, it has something of ‘home’, near Zoo: Artis
-it only made me want to stop to make this picture
-it doesn’t sell anything just a clear direction
-nothing.. maybe some Christmas lights around it


#4 Dommelsch
-it has a strong character, near Spui
-it has a clear message “taste me”
-it has a trust like it’s from 1920
-wait until it gets dark


#5 Febo
-it has a strong character, Dapperstraat
-it has a clear message “eat me”
-it’s ‘modern’ red on yellow (like Micky D’s)
- add more color


#6 CJP magazine “om waar te zijn”
-it’s all writing, CJP magazine
-I like scratches and typography that is like someone wrote it
-red on white
-more space between the letters


#7 Manuscripta
-nice typewriter typography, Wibauthal
-big and lots of colors
-the size of the title, it doesn’t even fit on the poster
-subtitle bigger


#8 Festival
-it’s subtle, near Artis
-white on black
-aesthetic on the whole
-a picture on the background


#9 Cinco de mayo
-I like rosewood, google
-rosewood
-color of the title
-it’s too simple, they could add some pic’s


#10 Smart
-it’s pink, HVA Singelgrachtsgebouw
-it’s very noticeable
-why did they spray “smart”?
-a black and white border


#11 Kimdo
-it’s like Disney but different, Oudezijds Voorburgwal
-look a like
-it’s elegant and the title is elegant/playful
-a thin border around the sign


#12 – l etters
-lot’s of letters, Singel
-to read between the lines
-less space between the letters and words


#13 ??
-very creative, google
-the fiber
-background and the ‘word’ are in the same style
-more readable


#14 –words, words and words
- very creative, google
-just words no image but very logic
-black/white
-less things in the picture


#15 orange ribbon
-it’s very orange, google
-it’s kind of Arabic typography but not quit
-it says something but I can’t read it, makes me watch it longer
-some lines of the background in the letters


#16 Typography: adio
-why, where
The company makes nice/good shoes, my room (shoebox)
-why does it has ‘the power to make you stop’
It makes me want to keep the shoebox
-what is the U.S.P. (Unique Selling Point) according to you
the graffiti style
-what could it make it better according to you
Make the spots tinier


#17 Typography: vans
-why, where
The company makes nice/good shoes, my room (shoebox)

the size of the box and security-cardboard-thing
-what could it make it better according to you
Make the box a bit longer


#18 Typography: Freedom writers
-why, where
The roughness, my room (book)
-why does it has ‘the power to make you stop’
It has a roughness but the capitals are very formal
-what is the U.S.P. (Unique Selling Point) according to you
the combination of formal ‘grunge’
-what could it make it better according to you
A shadow


#19 Typography: Zildjian
-why, where
It’s Arabic typography, my room (sticker on Postbank book)
-why does it has ‘the power to make you stop’
First it has an Arabic impression, but it really sells cymbals
-what is the U.S.P. (Unique Selling Point) according to you
that it’s not what it’s like it is
-what could it make it better according to you
Make up a logo (I don’t think that they have one, do they?)
